John Harland

John Harland MRCSA (Director) has worked in the recruitment industry for more than 15 years, following a successful career in Human Resources and Sales. He spent 3 years in recruitment in Australia where he also ran his own business. Upon returning to New Zealand, he joined Chandler Macleod as Regional Manager for New Zealand and when Chandler Macleod split its business into a “House of Brands” John assumed the role as General Manager – Ready Workforce responsible for the Industrial business in New Zealand.
He has worked for a number of International Recruitment companies during his career in the Industry and held senior management, account management and operational roles during this time. John has held an active role on the New Zealand RCSA National Council for a number of years and also holds MRCSA (Professional Recruiter) status permitting him to use the post nominal’s MRCSA.
He has a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (Marketing, Management, Organisational Behaviour, & Commercial Law).
 
On a personal note: John holds a position as Head Selector for North Harbour Rugby Referee Association (NHRRA) responsible for referee assessment and development 2006 - 2011 . He has been an Executive Member for the North Harbour Rugby Referees Association since 2005 however prior to this he was an active member of the North Harbour Rugby Referees Association until 1999 when business pressures forced his retirement.
John held a Top 10 ranking in North Harbour for 8 years and refereed for a total of 15 years. He was awarded the Fraser King Memorial Trophy 1990 and 1991 for most promising Senior Referee in the North Harbour Association.
He was a Wellington Province Senior 2nd & 3rd Division Rugby Representative 1972, 1973, 1974.
 
In his spare time outside of his Rugby commitments John enjoys Golf, Travelling and the pleasure that his Grandchildren give him.
