John Harland

John has more than 30 years in the Recruitment Industry following a successful career in HR and Sales. He has recruited across all sectors including Finance, Manufacturing, Engineering and Technical, covering all levels of business up to and including Executive. He has a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (Marketing, Management, Organisational Behaviour & Commercial Law).

John has been a member of the Recruiting, Consulting and Staffing Association (RCSA) for around 20 Years both as a NZ council member and a “Pearl” Mentor where he has supported several Agency owners/consultants in this capacity.

In 2018 recognising his outstanding service to the Industry John was awarded Life membership of the RCSA.

He currently supports the RCSA as a participant of the Professional practise council monitoring ethics and professional behaviour in the Recruitment Industry.

Fiona and John relocated to Wellington in 2023 after 6 years in Hawkes Bay and remain actively involved on a daily basis in the business.

Along with Fiona he supports Youth initiatives that will help our next generation strive for greater opportunity in their work journey.

On a personal note: John is an avid rugby fan and has been a mentors/coach for prominent and upcoming referees for both North Harbour and the Hawkes Bay Rugby Union in the past few years.

Outside of his Rugby commitments John enjoys Golf, Travelling and the pleasure that his 9 Grandchildren give him.
