We need a freight handler/delivery driver for a 4:00 am 12:30pm shift Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays approx. 9:00am - 5:30 pm.
- Full class 1 driver's license essential
- Roster includes alternative Saturdays and some public holidays and flexibility if flights are delayed?
- You will be required to be a Permanent resident or Citizen to obtain CIA approval to go airside.
- Full PPE will be provided
- Training will be provided
About the Role:
Our client is currently looking for a full-time temp to help their air freight handling team and drive a class 1 vehicle. This is a busy, fast-paced, close-knit operation based at Auckland Airport. Loading and unloading freight from flight cargo carriers - mix of fork hoist and hand loading. Sorting air freight, delivering cargo units by trucks to aircrafts and local destinations. Some data input involved.
This is a very important role where delivering on time, every time is critical.
Most Importantly you must:
- Have great customer service and delivery experience
- Be physically fit
- Have an excellent command of both written and verbal communication
- Good numeracy skills
- Have a clear MOJ (Ministry of Justice check)
- Be able to pass a drug test
There will be some down time from time to time, so you must be able to turn your hand to other tasks, such as keeping the yard tidy, trucks clean and tidy, picking up the broom and sweeping the yard etc.
